“E” Train Assault Leaves 55-Year-Old Woman with Repeated Facial Blows; Second Senior Citizen Attacked at Brooklyn Subway Station

A 55-year-old woman suffered repeated blows to her face by another female passenger on an “E” train traveling northbound through the Jackson Avenue and Queens Boulevard subway station in Long Island City last Sunday evening, as reported by authorities. The assault took place at around 8 p.m., with the attacker striking the victim multiple times using a closed fist while aboard the New York City Transit System train car, according to police sources. Subsequent to inflicting injury and causing pain and bruising on her target, the assailant fled from the scene by foot. The individual responsible for this act of violence is described as being around 30-40 years old with a medium complexion, weighing approximately 165 pounds, possessing black curly/wavy hair, wearing brown jacket, blue jumpsuit, and carrying a black purse at the time. The victim refused medical attention following this incident. Incidentally, a different woman in her sixties was the target of another violent outburst inside a subway station last month. According to authorities, this particular incident occurred on Monday afternoon at approximately 3:20 p.m., when an unnamed female passenger engaged in verbal altercation with a second individual within Van Siclen Avenue’s subterranean transit hub located in East New York, Brooklyn. Following the exchange of words between these two strangers, the antagonist suddenly and unexpectedly delivered one punch to her adversary’s head using a closed fist before making their escape from the scene. The victim was subsequently transported by emergency medical services personnel to SUNY Downstate Medical Center in stable condition for treatment following this incident.
