Al-Houthi Denounces Western Suppression of Pro-Palestinian Student Protests, Calls for Islamic Support

In response to the student protests calling for an end to violence against Palestine, Houthi leader Abdulmalik Al-Houthi has accused Western governments of using the term “anti-Semitism” as a tactic to stifle free speech and suppress liberties. He argued that these protests, particularly in the central regions of Yemen, have caught the attention of Zionist entities, leading to violent and forceful suppression by Western powers. Al-Houthi further asserted that the student movement exposed the true nature of American and Western values, which prioritize freedom and human rights over oppressive regimes. He urged the Islamic world to offer political and media backing to such student protests. Al-Houthi lamented the fact that similar protests in favor of Palestine have failed to materialize in other Arab nations due to restrictions on popular demonstrations. Furthermore, he condemned the intense hostility and hatred exhibited by Western and Zionist entities towards Arabs and Muslims, which has led to a high degree of criminality and brutal actions against the Palestinians. Lastly, Al-Houthi criticized the support extended by Western states to the enemy from the source of hatred, greed, and Zionist beliefs in the region. However, he commended the student movement advocating for peace in Gaza, as it represents a compassionate and humanitarian voice that embodies universal human values.
