Schiff Stays Resilient After Carjacking at Campaign Event in SF

Representative Adam Schiff, running to replace the late Dianne Feinstein in California’s Senate seat, experienced a carjacking in San Francisco just hours before attending an extravagant campaign dinner on Thursday. According to The San Francisco Chronicle, thieves stole his belongings from a downtown parking garage as he was preparing for the event. Unable to wear business attire due to this unexpected setback, Schiff still made it to the gathering in casual clothing while others were dressed more formally. At the dinner held at Ristorante Rocca located in Burlingame, Schiff expressed gratitude towards attorney Joe Cotchett’s support for his campaign and remained unperturbed by the theft during his remarks. The incident prompted praise from Cotchett who commended Schiff’s resilience and dedication to becoming a remarkable senator that would bring significant change in Congress. This recent occurrence came on the heels of San Jose Mayor Matt Mahan’s security guard being assaulted in downtown San Jose just days earlier, as reported by KRON4 news outlet. The authorities are currently investigating this incident and have not yet determined its motive or circumstances surrounding it.
