Trump Draws Massive Crowd in Wildwood Amidst Biden’s Vacation: ‘Change’ Sought over Perceived Failures

While President Biden spent his Mother’s Day weekend at his beach house in Delaware, former President Donald Trump held a massive rally in Wildwood, New Jersey, attracting between 80,000 and 100,000 supporters, many of whom camped out overnight to secure a spot. Critics accused Biden of being “surrounded by fascists” at the White House, running a “radicalized” Democratic Party, while social media users compared the size of the Trump rally to the lack of Biden supporters at his beach house. Biden’s frequent vacations were highlighted, with Fox News contributor Joe Concha reporting on his observations at the rally. As of last fall, Biden’s vacation time amounted to roughly 40% of his presidency, significantly higher than Trump’s 26% and Obama’s 11%. Supporters at the rally praised Trump’s leadership and criticized Biden’s perceived failures, with one describing a desire for “change” and claiming that Biden wasn’t doing enough to address issues. Former Republican representative Jeff Van Drew also joined the rally, hailing it as “the biggest political rally in the history of New Jersey”. Trump used the opportunity to attack Biden, labeling him a “moron” and accusing him of surrendering college campuses to “jihadist freaks and anti-American extremists”. Trump claimed that Bidenomics would be replaced with MAGAnomics if he won the upcoming election, promising to bring back manufacturing, tourism, and other industries to New Jersey. The rally attracted supporters from New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and beyond, with some travelling from deep blue New York. Trump’s trial in New York City for fraud continued during the rally, with the former president labelling the case a “scam” promoted by the Biden administration.
