Grimes Addresses ‘Yellowstone’ Controversy: Cast Member Speaks on Kevin Costner Exit and Conservative Criticism

Actor Luke Grimes has provided some insight into the ongoing controversy surrounding “Yellowstone.” While production for season five is set to commence soon, fans are unsure whether Kevin Costner will return as John Dutton due to reported issues between him and creator Taylor Sheridan. In an interview with The Independent, Grimes suggested that while it’s unfortunate if anything has changed the course of the show, he believes Costner had no choice but to prioritize his other projects. He went on to touch upon criticism aimed at “Yellowstone” for appealing primarily to conservative audiences in middle America due to its themes revolving around family values, land ownership and self-defense against intrusion – all while sporting cowboy hats and riding horses. Grimes claimed that such viewers are quick to judge the show’s characters based on their beliefs but seem less critical of similar flaws displayed by other shows featuring urban elites like “Succession.” The upcoming season is set for release in November, with fans eagerly awaiting its conclusion regardless of Costner’s involvement.
