Host of the “Kennedy Saves The World” podcast Kennedy recently appeared on Fox Across America to explain how elected officials have less power than bureaucrats in regards to President Biden’s actions targeting gas-powered vehicles as part of his climate push. Meanwhile, over thirty House Republicans are introducing a resolution today that would reverse these measures under the Congressional Review Act (CRA), which allows congress to repeal federal regulations. The bill is being led by Rep Andrew Clyde and has garnered endorsements from groups like the American Energy Alliance and Eagle Forum. Under Biden’s finalized emissions standards, automakers will be forced to significantly decrease greenhouse gas emissions starting with model year 2027 vehicles while increasing production of electric cars among others beginning in three years. Some have heavily criticized these policies such as Republican and Democratic lawmakers along with agricultural industry groups like the National Corn Growers Association and energy associations, including American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers and American Petroleum Institute due to the expense involved when considering buying an EV which still lags behind traditional gas-powered vehicles in terms of sales. In response to this proposed legislation by House Republicans, the EPA did not immediately respond for comment at time of writing.
