<|title|>“Breaking the Silence: Rebel Wilson Thanks Supporters for Sharing #MeToo Stories with Sacha Baron Cohen Amid Redactions in UK Book Edition”

Rebel Wilson expressed her gratitude towards supporters and other women who have shared their experiences with Sacha Baron Cohen after allegations she made against him were redacted from the UK edition of her new memoir “Rebel Rising”. The actress claimed that during filming for ‘The Brothers Grimsby’ in 2016, which also starred Cohen, he repeatedly asked her to appear naked and eventually hired a body double after she refused. Wilson accused him of telling her to perform an intimate act while shooting the final scene despite it not being included in the script. However, Baron Cohen strongly denied these allegations. In response, Wilson stood by her statements as she thanked women who shared their own stories with her on Instagram. “I want to thank all the people who have come forward and acknowledged my experiences with Sacha Baron Cohen,” said Wilson. She added: “Thank you for sharing your own stories with me; I’m so grateful to you, and really appreciate it.” A representative for HarperCollins told People magazine that sections from the chapter about Baron Cohen had been redacted in the UK edition due to legal reasons but assured readers that they would be included in its entirety when the book was released in America. Following claims of ‘harassment’ by Wilson, Baron Cohen denied these allegations and claimed her story is “demonstrably false”. He also accused her of sharing a fabricated version during an attempt to sell more copies. Pages from this section were blacked out with an explanatory note added in the UK edition. The U.K. Outlet ‘The Guardian’ reported that similar redactions had been made for editions set to be released next week Australia and New Zealand editions because printing “falsehoods is against British law”. Wilson said she was not attempting to cancel Cohen, but sharing her story in the hope it would prevent such incidents from happening again. She added: “I’m sharing my story now because hopefully the less that happens.” In a previous interview with ‘Today’, Wilson explained: “[The incident] is something that happened 10 years ago and obviously I have moved past it, but just feeling humiliated and degraded as a person – I thought it was worth sharing in the book because there’s probably lots of people out there who have had similar experiences.” Since her allegations against Cohen became known she claims several women came forward to say they also encountered behaviour by him. She concluded: “I will not be bullied or silenced by high-priced lawyers and PR crisis managers. The ‘a**hole’ I am talking about in one chapter of my book is Sacha Baron Cohen.”
